Karl Breker

  • Most influential person relating to my career…
my dad Matt for instilling in me a love for the outdoors.
  • Most embarrassing moment at work…
when I drove over 3 scare cannons shortly after Mike Tether asked me if I wanted them moved.
  • My favorite place to fish in Sask…
Pinehouse Lake with Jeff and Perry and Randy.
  • My favorite place to hunt…
our elk camp in the Porcupine forest.
  • When not working I can usually be found…
camping with my wife and 4 year old daughter in our 5th wheel trailer.
  • If I was not a C.O. I probably would be…
on permanently assigned rock picker duty.
  • What is the biggest problem facing law enforcement in Sask…
the lack of finances and bureaucracy placing restrictions on carrying out duties. We spend more time in administration than we do in the execution of our duties.
  • My extra-curricular activities include…
maintaining the house we own and we like to the camp. I still play hockey, fish and hunt when I can.
  • What one resource investigation that you were involved in stands out in your memory…
assisting in the search of Operation Suburban at Swift Current and the take down and searches of the operation at Neville back in the 80's.
  • The most memorable quote made to you by a member of the public…
happened just this past long weekend at Pike Lake. Al Wynarsky can help me with the quote. “Is it okay to have sex in a tent in the campground?”
  • What is the best thing about being a C.O…
the work is certainly variable and good or bad we come in contact with all sorts of people and for the most part it's a positive contact. Contact with a group of professionals that are always willing to help in all situations.
