This magazine promotes public awareness by advising the public what Conservation Officers do on a day-to-day basis. Information included in this publication is of interest to all outdoor enthusiasts.

The Saskatchewan Game Warden is not your typical hunting and fishing magazine. You will not find our how to call in a bull elk, how to rattle in a white tail buck, or how to catch a 8lb walleye in one of our many northern lakes. You may, however, get some advise on a Saskatchewan Conservation Officer's favourite place to fish, camp, hike, or sightsee. Readers will learn how Conservation Officers are involved in the day-to-day management of our natural resources.

There are many other people other than Conservation Officers who work very hard to maintain a sustainable level of flora and fauna in Saskatchewan. We will include these people as well. The environment as a whole has had a whole lot of support recently from the public and these are the people who will enjoy getting accurate and detailed knowledge of how our environment is managed.

The Saskatchewan Association of Conservation Officers is a registered non-profit association. Profits from the Saskatchewan Game Warden Magazines support scholarships for resource students, the purchasing of wildlife habitat and the funding for the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, Ducks Unlimited and various officer memorials throughout North America.

Photos taken of Conservation Officers interacting with the public are normal field compliance checks. No person identified in any photo has been charged or is involved in any resource violation. They were just kind enough to allow us to take their photo along with a Conservation Officer.
